EFP launches 'Responsible Periodontology' logo 

The EFP has launched its Responsible Periodontology logo, which can be used by the federation’s 37 national societies of periodontology in their own sustainability initiatives. The logo expresses the EFP’s commitment to the dental community that all its activities — from promoting disease prevention and healthy lifestyles to its events, educational programmes, and campaigns — will be carried out ethically, with respect, and ensuring that all voices count.

New infographics explain the four steps of
EFP clinical practice guideline

 

The EFP has published a series of infographics on the four steps set out in the federation’s clinical practice guideline on the treatment of periodontitis, stages I-III. The infographics provide a clear and concise explanation of key elements of the guideline, and highlight the strength of each treatment recommendation.
 

COMPETITION

EFP invites applications for digital innovations award

Applications can now be made for the second edition of the EFP Innovation Award for Digital Solutions for Gum Health, which recognises digital-technology projects for patients, dentists, and researchers that will contribute to improving gum health. The annual competition, financially supported by Haleon (one of the EFP’s partners), seeks to promote research in Europe and around the world and is open to all EFP national societies.

Perio Master Clinic 2023: book before November 2
to enjoy 'early bird' discount

The 'early bird' deadline to register for Perio Master Clinic 2023 and benefit from a 20% discount, is November 2. Taking place in Antwerp, Belgium, on 3-4 March 2023, the event focuses on combined periodontal and orthodontic treatment, with a faculty of 40 experts from 12 countries. In an interview on the EFP website, the event's chair Peter Garmyn and scientific chair Virginie Monnet-Corti explain the importance of the "perio-ortho synergy" and the novel formats that have been introduced for this event.

Scientific programme is now finalised for
International Perio Master Clinic 2023

The scientific programme of International Perio Master Clinic 2023, which focuses on current and future challenges in hard- and soft-tissue aesthetic reconstructions arount teeth and implants, has now been finalised. Registration is open for the event, which takes place in Léon, Mexico in May next year.

 Next Perio Talks podcasts address clinical practice guidelines and sports performance

A new EFP Perio Talks podcast, to be released in the coming days, focuses on the federation's clinical practice guidelines for the treatment of periodontitis, which are discussed by David Herrera and Moritz Kebschull. The following podcast, due to be released in November, features Ian Needleman on the relationship between periodontal health and sports performance.
