Courage: The Courage to Be Part of a Community
Led By Rev. Dr. Michelle Walsh and April Rosario
Our mission at First Parish Church in Taunton is to Inspire, Connect, and Serve.
All are welcome to join us this Sunday for a mini All Ages Service and our Annual Community Block Party to follow. Join us as we explore through music and story the courage we must sometimes muster to fully allow ourselves to be part of a community. This service will be only about 30 minutes as we will then put our theme and faith into action by heading outside as a community to assist with the set up of the Block Party that begins at 11 am. Childcare is available from 9:45 - 11:15 am.

Speaking of the Advice Table, a message from First Parish Church Member Bobbe Anderson...
We need warm and wonderful bodies to man/woman/person an Advice table at the block party!!!
Come one, come all! Yes, I’m sure. Well, almost all ~ probably gonna have to have a minimum age, and your parent’s OK for this, f(or the younger crowd, just saying). I’m thinking that it will be all in good fun, and if for, any reason a question is asked, and it’s beyond your expertise, you can honestly defer, and pass it along to one of your cohorts, or honestly say I don’t have a clue while smiling brightly.
I’m thinking that the table should have at minimum 2 people at all times for a one-hour shift (– or more if you‘d like, honest) so no one gets in a pickle, but that will be determined by how many of you lovely people sign on, it would seem. (Fingers Crossed!) If you have a favorite folding chair, by all means, bring it along. I was thinking when people called me at 857-366-0553, we could list on a paper what your interests and abilities are so that could be displayed in front of you on the table or not, your choice. (Please call, I’m old, and sometimes text doesn’t work for me, sigh) I’ll also have links printed out on a laminated sign for car maintenance, house yearly chores, hurricane preparedness checklist, and anything else that I find as I meander around the internet later. If you have any suggestions for others, please let me know. If anyone is the proud owner of a crystal ball or a possibly even a dowsing rod, bring it along. It will fancy up the booth. ~ Bobbi Anderson
