New: FirstView bus tracking app for UTM Shuttle users
UTM shuttle users can now use the FirstView app to track the shuttle in real time, Monday to Friday.
The app’s live mapping function allows users to see all active shuttle buses, with updates every 15-30 seconds.
UTM students pay for use of the Shuttle Bus through a student fee (validated with TCard). Staff, faculty, librarians and others may ride the bus for a fare (ticket or bus pass) Learn more
Drupal 9 now live
For UTM website editors: the Drupal 9 content management system is now live and offers a wide range of enhanced features for posting on utm.utoronto.ca. If you haven’t yet completed all the tasks on your site’s migration checklist, please work to finish the remaining tasks before the end of October. Learn more

The U of T Mississauga community is mourning the loss of one its beloved professors, Barbara Murck, who passed away Oct. 15, 2022.
A professor in the Department of Geography, Geomatics and Environment, Murck is remembered as a devoted and accomplished teacher with a passion for the natural world. Murck graduated from Princeton University in 1976 and obtained her PhD in geology from the University of Toronto in 1986. She joined UTM in 1995.

Jae Page, nominated by the Department of Geography, Geomatics, and Environment, is the recipient of the June Scott Teaching Excellence Award for outstanding teaching by a teaching assistant.
Steve Szigeti from the Institute of Communication, Culture, Information and Technology (ICCIT) is the recipient of the UTM Teaching Excellence Award for outstanding teaching by a junior faculty member.
Lindsay Schoenbohm from the Department of Chemical & Physical Sciences is the recipient of the UTM Teaching Excellence Award for outstanding teaching by a senior faculty member.
Yuhong He from the Department of Geography, Geomatics, and Environment, and Claudiu Gradinaru from the Department of Chemical & Physical Sciences were selected as the recipients of the Desmond Morton Research Excellence Award to recognize the breadth, impact, and excellence of their research.
