MENTAL ILLNESS AWARENESS WEEK

1 in 5 kids has a mental health disorder.
1 in 5 adults has a mental health disorder.
50% of mental illness begins by age 14.
The average delay between onset of symptoms and intervention is 10 years.

Social ties are one of the biggest factors in protecting your mental health.
Since 20% of the people you know could be struggling, you can help:
  • Listen without judgement, without trying to "fix" the person who is suffering.
  • Ease into a conversation. They may not be ready to talk, and that is ok.
  • Be respectful, compassionate and empathetic to their feelings by engaging in reflective listening, letting them know you hear them.
  • Assist in finding care if you are asked.
DENTAL HYGIENE MONTH

Also known as Happy Healthy Smile Month...something we all want for our kids.

Are your kids up to date on their dental cleanings and checkups?
