Steadfast I stand in the world.
With certainty I tread the path of life.
Love I cherish in the core of my being.
Hope I carry into every deed.
Confidence I imprint upon my thinking.
These five lead me to my goal,
These five give me my existence.

Giinagay...

Welcome back!  It is so wonderful to be launching into Term 4 with you all.  I hope that you all feel nourished and replenished after the holidays.  It is a 9 week term with our HUGE 40th celebration to look forward to at the end of Week 6 - Saturday 19th November.

This term we welcome nine new students with seven of these students entering into our High School. We have seven Class Plays to look forward to as well as six camps and are currently in the exciting stage of planning our Class 9 and 10 classes for next year and preparing to advertise for new positions in our growing school.

We hope that you will be able to join in as much as possible in your child’s journey through our rich curriculum this term.

Blessings on the term ahead,
-Lisa

Raji Renshaw Class 7
"Ochre and Sky"

Raji Renshaw was involved in a project that saw the production of a short film titled “Ochre and Sky”. Raji acted, alongside a mostly Aboriginal cast, in the telling of a story about listening to Country.

“The film takes viewers on a journey across Australia, from red deserts to rainforest and beaches to the bush, exploring the long human relationship to this vast, ancient continent. At a time of global environmental challenge, it reveals how listening to the land offers us all hope for the future. We are all part of Country. We are all connected to the sky, the water and the land.”

The film will show on a 15 metre long curving screen display at the National Museum of Australia in Canberra for the next twenty years. Chrysalis students attending snow camp in the coming years will visit the museum and see Raji, even appearing in one scene metres high with butterflies fluttering around him. Raji thoroughly enjoyed the whole process, the filming in a rainforest segment at Coramba Nature Reserve, and the recent local premier of the film.

Raji & Tully at the local premier.
