We are updating our Swarm / Hive Collectors List.
If you are interested in collecting Swarms or Hives, please let me know:
1. Your name and phone number
2. The area on THIS MAP that you are able to collect from (provide the grid coordinates i.e. B2, or put 'whole area')

When swarms are reported in the area/s you have allocated you will receive a text message. The first person to accept the request gets the swarm and you will receive a text letting you know it has gone.

To be on the list send your details to Anna at secretary@sgbeekeepers.org.au

Swarms usually need to be collected promptly and are straightforward. Hives are established in walls and trees and don't need to be dealt with immediately but can be more complicated to remove.

Remember biosecurity. It can be a good idea to quarantine the swarm or hive (place it some distance from your own apiary) until you have had time to observe it and do a full health check.
