Manufacturing Innovation Summit
Join us next week on October 19th at Georgian College’s Advanced Technology Centre! This year’s event will feature keynote speaker Andrew Au, a global thought leader on digital transformation and culture change along with networking, an industry panel and break-out sessions on cybersecurity, talent strategies and immersive technologies. The event will conclude with lunch and a tour of the new Magna Mechatronics Lab and Research and Innovation Space at Georgian College.

RapidSkills Employer Series
The RapidsSkills program offers a series of eight micro-credentials, designed to upskill employees, and prepare individuals for advanced manufacturing careers. Tuition is currently available at no cost to eligible businesses and participants. In addition to providing skills training, did you know that RapidSkills Employer Services can also promote your job openings, and pre-screen and refer qualified candidates?

Artificial Intelligence for Manufacturing Collaboration Day 
NGen is launching a $50 million AI for Manufacturing funding challenge. They are looking for transformative and collaborative projects that are focused on the commercialization of artificial intelligence/machine learning applications in manufacturing environments. Projects must involve at least two industry partners: one manufacturer and one AI provider.

Women in Manufacturing Events
Save the date for 2 upcoming events focused on Women in Manufacturing! On November 22nd from 4:00 to 6:30pm at the Midland Public Library and November 30th from 4:00 to 6:30pm at the Sandbox Centre in Barrie. These events will celebrate women working in various roles in manufacturing and encourage women to consider starting a career in the industry.
