About LC Jain: Lakshmi Chand Jain (1925–2010) was a Gandhian activist and writer. He had served as a member of the Planning Commission, as Indian High commissioner to South Africa, as a member of the World Commission on Dams (WCD) and as secretary of the Indian Cooperative Union and the All-India Handicrafts Board.
This is the third time ADR is collaborating with The LC Jain Family to organise LC Jain Memorial Lecture. Details of the previous lectures are given below:
The Third LC Jain Memorial Lecture was delivered by Aruna Roy, a prominent social activist, on the theme "Civil Disobedience in Uncivil Times", on 13th December 2018 at India International Centre, New Delhi.

The Fourth LC Jain Memorial Lecture was delivered by Justice AP Shah on the theme "Fighting for Freedoms: The Supreme Court in the 21st Century", and chaired by Professor Romila Thapar, on 10th February 2020 at India International Centre, New Delhi.
