Northwest Folklife and Whippoorwill Arts invite you to the first annual SuperFolk Festival, a two-day festival showcasing world-class musicians performing various styles of folk music! SuperFolk will be hosted at the Washington State Historical Museum (WSHM) on October 21-22.

SuperFolk is a process of bringing things together and seeing what happens when they mix. This concept behind SuperFolk was born at the 2022 Folklife Festival, where the Northwest Folklife community shared forms and disciplines of storytelling to illustrate the universality and range of folk.

We have invited six artists from the area and from across the country to bring the history of folk back to life and perform in the galleries of the Washington State Historical Museum. Friday evening’s event will introduce all of the talented artists with short performances and Saturday will consist of a series of performance installations throughout the museum’s galleries, with an evening performance located in the main hall. Join us for our first annual SuperFolk Festival and celebrate the world of folk with us!
