Showcase 2022 will be presented:
Fiddlers Green
Sunday, November 20
2.00 - 4.00pm
Showcase 2022 will:

- Celebrate our positive successes over the past 2 years

- Promote the social aspect of U3A by bringing members of various classes together

- November is ‘open’ class month so you are being encouraged to bring a friend to see what U3A Casey is all about

- Advertise your class to other members/potential members for 2023

- Encourage existing members as well as potential, to identify what is missing from our current listings of classes and to consider starting something new in 2023
- Opportunity to partake in a delicious afternoon tea!

Group Outing to Moorabbin Air Museum

The Social Adventure Mystery trip held on the 21-10-22 gave members a taste of flying with an interesting visit to the Moorabbin Air Museum. Members were able to use a flying simulator and sit in a police helicopter. This was followed by lunch and some therapeutic shopping at the DFO nearby. All had a lot of laughs and really enjoyed the day.

Sketch Your Story

A very rainy afternoon but for Sketch Your Story course members there was no shortage of things to sketch, both indoors and looking out of windows! The group currently meets once a month at Edrington Park (a heritage house and former home of Lord Casey). The focus is on-location sketching. All abilities are welcome and individual styles are encouraged.

Garden Club Report Kokedama creations

On Monday 10th October the Garden Club met to make Japanese Kokedama or moss balls. Everyone worked productively to create some beautiful plants. Weather-wise it was a perfect day. How lucky we were. Next month we are making macrame hangers to hang our Kokedama - maybe for fabulous handcrafted Christmas gifts.
