         SEYM Listening Project November 6

SEYM would like to hear how the Spirit fares at OMM, and how SEYM might best assist us with responding to the Spirit's leadings for our meeting.

Please join us after worship on 11/6/2022 at 11:45 to participate in this important discussion.  This will be a hybrid meeting held both at the meeting house and via Zoom (using the same link and password as Meeting for Worship).

Suggestions for the
Social & Community Giving Committee

We shall have our autumn meeting soon, & wondered if Friends have any new suggestions. Click HERE to see the last lists of our recipients for the autumn 2021 and spring 2022 donations.

Do send new suggestions, and any factors that have moved you to make the suggestion, but please, no solicitations from the organisations being suggested. Send your suggestions to me, Pierre Ivory, at ivorypierre@verizon.net.
Quaker 101 - Online Course

Friends Meeting of Cambridge MA invites everyone to attend Exploring the Quaker Way: a 3-part course, happening every other Sunday via Zoom, from Oct 16 – Nov 13, 2022. We'll meet from 7-8:30pm ET.

Exploring the Quaker Way (XQW) is a 3-part course intended to help participants connect with others while going deeper into explorations of Quaker faith, practice, and history.

XQW especially welcomes newcomers and new-ish-comers, as well as more experienced Friends who wish to examine fundamentals more closely. It is also an opportunity for newer Friends to meet longtime attenders and members

For these online sessions, facilitators will offer an interactive, participatory experience, with learning and fun!

It's that time of year again!

Friends, it is the time for Meeting committees & representatives to start working on their budget requests for the next fiscal year, which is January to December 2023.

Clerks & convenors of committees please do hold meetings soon, so that your committee can work on the matter. I would be delighted if committees would get their figures back to me by Nov. 1.

Email them to me, Pierre Ivory, at treasurer@orlandoquakers.org.

Any questions, do phone me at (904) 540-9875

Check in with each other, Share our interests and stories, Deepen our f/Friendships, and Take turns presenting topics and limericks.

 All are welcome!

May the fragile harvesting of the Light
Help to release whatever has become false in you.
May you trust this light to clear a path
Through all the fog of old unease and anxiety,
Until you feel arising within you a tranquility
Profound enough to call the storm to stillness.

Supporting Gifts

Supporting Gifts to the Orlando Monthly Meeting are very important. They provide the basis for our financial support and for our continued existence as a Quaker Meeting. While it is true our community has the great benefit of a financial legacy provided to us from the generous and wise Friends of the past, we  nevertheless have a duty to protect the legacy for the future. Your support gifts, of any size, will add to the effort to preserve our legacy and enable the Orlando Monthly Meeting of The Religious Society of Friends to continue serving Friends now and beyond our time.
Gifts may be made in person at the Meeting House or by mail. To use credit cards, debit cards or Paypal, simply click on the DONATE image below, or go to orlandoquakers.org where any menu page, such as "About Us," will have a DONATE button for making a single or recurring contribution. If you choose to use mail instead of PayPal for your donations to OMM, please send checks (payable to “Orlando Monthly Meeting”) directly to the Meeting House: Orlando Monthly Meeting, 316 E. Marks St, Orlando FL, 32803.
