North West Skills Maintenance Opportunity

A regional skills maintenance day will be held in the north west region as part of the Training and Education Program for facilitators completing delivery assessment tasks.

Members who attend the skills maintenance will have the opportunity to be assessed for the 2022-23 season. This is a mutually beneficial opportunity, as it works towards increasing the number of Trainers, Assessors and Facilitators within the state, as well as assisting clubs and members to complete their proficiency.

These sessions are open to all members, however, we strongly encourage Trainers, Assessors and Facilitators, as well as endorsed delegates to attend. Skills maintenance will be conducted in line with SLST circular 22-18: Skills Maintenance.

Location/Times:

Ulverstone SLSC

Saturday 12th November 2022, 10:00am to 1:00pm

Light refreshments will be provided for members attending

Members should register using the link below by: 9am – Friday 4th November 2022

2022 Coolangatta Gold

Two Teams, two Individuals and 11 youth representing Ulverstone, Bridport and Carlton Park SLSC’s spent a week of training in the leadup to the iconic Coolangatta Gold which culminated in a fantastic display of Tasmanian tenacity on the short course and in the youth challenge.

Generous support from Mermaid Beach SLSC, Coolangatta SLSC and visits from Brielle Cooper and Matt Bevilacqua ensure that all of our athletes returned home with new skills and some valuable warm water experience.

Also some great performances across the weekend from relocated Tasmanians in both the teams events, individual races and the newly introduced Downwinder.

Thanks to all support and logistics contributors, special mention to Toll (Strait Shipping) and the Bridport volunteers for transporting our craft safely to the event and home again.
