Good Evening families and friends!

I hope everyone has had a chance to breath a little bit this weekend. The weather was quite beautiful, and the leaves are changing colors! It can only mean one thing….

One-Act play season is approaching tech week!

Parents and cast members are asked to regularly check their emails to make sure that they are staying on top of the busy next several weeks.

We have two exciting productions ready to perform (Both at CHS and at Competition!)

Tickets are on sale and can be purchased in advance of both shows.

If that wasn’t enough, we have auditions just around the corner for one of the most iconic and probably one of the more important musicals of the 20th century, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF! I want to highly recommend that every student involves themselves in this year’s Musical! Dates (Feb 16-19)

Famous Fiddler on the Roof Cadenza played by Itzhak Perlman

Lin Manuel and Fiddler on the Roof

This is a particularly timely musical that will make you cry, make you laugh, and much more!

This week:

  • 10/18 Cabaret Musical Theatre performances at 7pm in the BLACK BOX

  • 10/19 Tech Week (The Book of Will —VTA) begins! — Check emails regarding food sign up, and rehearsal schedule. ALL CAST/CREW must attend in order to participate at VTA.

Special thanks to Caroline Heins for assisting with newsletters mid-week, creating volunteer sign-ups, and for coming to the build this past weekend!

We are pleased to announce to launch of our NEW AND IMPROVED TheatreCHS website, designed by board booster member, Shannon Walsh! Take some time to check it out and explore. We are thrilled to have a home for info!

Volunteer Spotlight:

HELP SELL CONCESSIONS AT THE FOOTBALL HOME GAME

Volunteers are needed (both parents and students) to help sell concessions at the home football game on October 21, 6:00 -9:00PM. This is a fun way to spend time with other drama families AND raise money for the Theatre department. No special training or skills are needed.
