Wednesday Evening Non-sanctioned Game Interest
Rod Fergusion (705-715-8004) and Bob Addison (705-533-0622) would like to organize a Wednesday evening F2F non-sanctioned (no director) game at the club house. They would need a minimum of 2 tables to go forward with the plan. Please call either Rod or Bob if you are interested.

Barbara Seagram's Hand Re-evaluation Strategy
The great Canadian bridge guru, Barbara Seagram, was the featured guest on the most recent episode of Sorry, Partner podcast. It was a wonderful interview. Here is the fascinating way she re-evaluates her hands:
Subtract points with shortness in partner's suit and add points when partner supports your suit.
Example: Here's your 15-point hand and you open 1 ♥
♠ none
♥ A J x x x x x
♦ A K x
♣ x x
If your partner responds 1 ♠, subtract 2 points and rebid 2♥.
If your partner responds 2♥, add 1 point more for card 5 in the ♥ suit, AND add 2 points for EACH remaining card in that suit, IN ADDITION to the long points you already counted. Your hand now counts as 20 POINTS! So now rebid to game - 4♥.
