525 Free Trees to New Homes
Since 2017 VT UCF has worked with the Arbor Day Foundation and local partners to give free trees to Vermonters through the Community Canopy Program. In September, 525 trees of five different species were given to residents of Barre, Burlington, Lyndon, and Windsor. A big thank you our municipal partners and volunteers to make the pick up events so successful! Thanks also to the Department of Environmental Conservation and the Department of Health's Climate & Health Program for providing funding for this effort.
