9)  ENROLL NOW!  The Humanity Project: Telling the Untold Story is a virtual 8-month program that seeks to promote racial understanding and justice through learning about the histories of people of color that never made it to our history books, as well as learning about current realities.  Since the program began in 2015, several members from Pilgrim have participated.  Are you next?
DETAILS*Once-monthly, one-hour sessions, on Zoom.  *On the first Tuesday of each month (with the exception of Tuesdays that fall on election days; then we move to the second Tuesday).  *Choose your session - Noon or 6:30PM.  *There is No Cost for this program, only a commitment of your time.

10)

The deadline for collection of warm coats is Tuesday, October 25th.  The collection boxes are located between the entrance doors to deposit the coats. Thank you for your incredible generosity in supporting this program.

11)
Hats & Mittens:  Every year we get requests for hats and mittens for the kids in school.  There are many kids who walk to school with no hat or mittens or gloves.  So, we are going to try something new.
There is a rack between the front doors that we hope to fill with hats, mittens and gloves through the winter months. All sizes are needed…small through adults.  Maybe those of you that knit and crochet would like to donate some hats!?
Our plan is to give them to Rosenow and other schools that have a need during the winter months.  Thank you fellow Pilgrims for all you do for the community.

12)
Shoe Collection for St. Katharine Drexel Shelter:  The shelter provides a safe living environment for people experiencing homelessness. It is set up to house both families and singles and offers access to programs that will help with their long term goals of self-sufficiency. People often come to the shelter with little or nothing.
Pilgrim’s Outreach Ministry wants to help by collecting shoes for kids.  We are asking you to donate new shoes.  All sizes are needed for school age kids and adults.  If you prefer, cash is also accepted and earmarked for shoes.
We will be collecting shoes through the month of October.  There is a box next to the hats/mittens stand in the entrance for your donations.

13)  To support access to Covid-19 self-tests, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has launched an online portal to order free at-home-rapid Covid-19 tests sent directly to homes.  Orders can be placed on the "Say Yes Covid Test" webpage:  https://sayyescovidhometest.org or by accessing the DHS website.  Initial supplies are allowing one test kit to be ordered per household.  Each test kit includes a total of five test.

14)  "4-Pictures" is a way to "stay in touch" with members of our church.  Pastor Rob continues to ask people to submit 4 digital photos to him that represent your life.

15)  Diner's Club!  The next get-together is on Sunday, October 23rd at Blancks Supper Club in Johnsburg.  Remember when signing up to list the total number of people attending.  Gathering begins at 5:00PM with sit down for the meal at 5:30PM.  As always, everyone is responsible for their own bill.  Happy Dining!

16)  Coffee Hour - 1st Sunday of Each Month (except where noted)!  Volunteers are Needed!  Check the sign-up poster in the narthex and pick a date to volunteer.  If you notice coffee supplies are getting low, please let Patty Minter know at 920-251-0425 or pattyminter@gmail.com.

HOW CAN YOU GIVE TO PILGRIM?

Offerings can be made the traditional ways - dropping them in the offering plate at worship or mailing a check.
But, as we get more and more accustomed to using paper money and paper checks less and less in our daily transactions, you might like to use the electronic means offered by Pilgrim for your church offerings, too.  Whether you prefer a direct transfer from your bank account (ACH) or payment through your credit card, and whether you want to initiate payments using your computer and the internet or by text through your phone, the choices are yours at Pilgrim.  You can even set up periodic automatic payments that you can change or stop at any time.  How’s that for convenience?
To give it a try, contact Pilgrim Treasurer, Donna Jost at pilgrim.treasurer@pilgrimuccfdl.org for a link to set up access to your exclusive account in our Pilgrim Breeze Church Management system.  You’ll then have all of the easy electronic giving options available through the internet at

https://puccfdl.breezechms.com/give/online
or through text from your smartphone at (920) 796-9933.  You'll love the convenience - and both you and the church will save on paperwork.  Any way you choose, your gifts (large and small) will always be much appreciated!

Scrip sales are an important part of the total
income for our church.
SCRIP is now available shortly before or immediately
after worship at the table in the narthex.
Call Karen Goodacre ahead of time and she can have your order ready for pick-up on Sunday morning after worship.

Send her a Text or Call her at 920-904-5740 about what you need!
You know you want SCRIP cards!

Your Support is Very Much Appreciated
