Popcorn & A Movie

This month we'll be showing Minions : The Rise of Gru, rated PG. Please feel free to bring drinks and snacks. We'll provide the popcorn.

In Stitches

Wednesdays, November 9th & 23rd at 1pm.
Open to all patrons interested in needlecrafts. The group meets every other Wednesday. Call 845-832-6605 for more info.

Whether you know how to play chess or would like to learn, just come on over! If you have a board, bring it along, but boards will be made available. We’ll also have Magic: The Gathering & Pokémon cards here if you’d like to play with those. If you have your own cards,you can bring them too! No meeting 11/23

A selection of Studio Art Work is on display throughout the library until November 30th. Stop in during library hours to see these outstanding pieces created by Dover High School students. Works include: Pen & ink phobia drawings, watercolor leaf paintings, ceramics, and clay wind chimes.

Reading & Chillin' w/Joker : Therapy Dog

Monday, November 7th, 14th, & 28th starting at 6pm
Email us to grab a 15 minute spot! Spots are first come, first serve. Open to children and 'tweens that are able to read on their own.

Storytime for preschool children.
No sign up required.
11/30 - No in person storytime. Miss Lisa will be broadcasting a storytime on our YouTube channel that day, and a Take & Make craft will be available for pickup.

This event is a Friends of the Dover Plains Library Fundraiser that will be held in the American Legion Hall.

Tickets available for purchase through November 4th. All art supplies and a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate will be included in the ticket price. Additions beverages and baked treats will be available for purchase. Beverages catered by Reverie Coffee.

Are you wondering how you can help your library?
One of the best ways is to join the Friends of the Dover Plains Library!

Their next meeting is Monday, November 14th at 6:30pm in the library's community room.
The Friends is a group operating under the non-profit 501(c)(3) organization of the Dover Plains Library whose purpose is to generate important financial assistance for the Dover Plains Library through fundraising, advocacy and membership dues.
We are looking for Friends to help establish our new Friends group.

The library now has a puzzle exchange! Bring a puzzle to take a puzzle.
We welcome puzzles for all ages. This is a great way to swap out all of those puzzles you've already completed, that are sitting in a pile in your closet and taking up space!!
The puzzle exchange is located inside the main library, through the 'Reference' doorway, and a quick turn to the right! The puzzles are on the shelf across from the card catalog computer and below the audiobooks!

(We mean LITERATURE, lol!!) We have purple shirts in adult unisex sizes from M to XXL. While supplies last! Suggested donation is $15.
