Hello Grandmothers,
Two quick notes:
1) Third Act has invited us to join them in Reno on Oct. 28 and 29th to rally with Bill McKibben, Rebecca Solnit (and others) and then do some precinct canvassing in a community that is often neglected in campaigns...A few of us grandmothers have decided to go up there, and will also probably join in (maybe with NARAL's mobilization) the next day to do canvassing on Sunday as well.

note: People need to arrange their own transportation (maybe we could 'caravan') and reserve accommodations up there (we're going to try to get rooms at Circus Circus Reno). Anyone want to jump in with us?
2) Some of you noted that you couldn't get to a link in Oct. newsletter. Here is correction:
Support the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians as they call on the state to honor its commitment to stop logging until they create a co-management system, giving indigenous people a voice in what happens to their ancestral lands. Sign the petition here
