Brookside Gardens
The Garden of Lights display transforms Brookside Gardens into a magical winter wonderland. Stroll through the one-half-mile, outdoor, walk-through exhibit and enjoy the twinkling and glimmering one-of-a-kind displays adorning the grounds throughout the 50-acre horticultural gem in Wheaton. Tickets are $10 per person, age five and older.
*Closed November 21-24, and December 24-25, 2022.

Wild Neighbors Campfire

Curious about who’s crawling, creeping, hopping, leaping and flying around our homes? Join us around the campfire to learn about the wild animals we share our neighborhoods with! We’ll make time for roasting treats, but please bring your own s’more supplies!

DIY Mushroom Growing Workshop
Saturday, December 3 | 1-3 pm
Meadowside Nature Center
Local mycophiles welcome! This is a workshop on growing shiitake, oyster and wine cap mushrooms on logs, straw and wood chips. In this family-friendly event, participants take home a log or inoculated straw home and learn about fungi’s role in the wild and how to find them. Spanish interpretation will be available.
