October Events Roundup
October TAPpy Hour
Last month, we co-hosted another TAPpy Hour with longtime friend, Jon Fong. This October TAPpy Hour attracted more than 50 happy TAPpers to the beautifully renovated Northern Ducks lounge inside the Twitter building in downtown San Francisco. On this breezy Friday evening we flocked under the impressive aviary chandelier and were treated to some delicious appetizers and wonderful conversations. New friends were made and old friends caught up as we cozied into fall. Shout out to Oliver Choy from Ameriprise for sponsoring the event! We look forward to catching up again at our next TAPpy Hour!
Halloween Party @ Southside Spirit House
On the spooky Saturday night before Halloween, more than 100 adventurous TAPpers gathered at Southside Spirit House near the Salesforce Tower for a boisterous night of delicious food, Halloween-themed drinks, and live music. Creatures of all shapes and sizes came out to join the fun, and some lucky ones even won the costume contest and went home with awesome prizes! All went home without a ghost in sight.
Pumpkin Carving with BWYA
A batch of freshly carved jack o lanterns were delivered the day before Halloween at the BWYA/TAP-SF Pumpkin Carving Event! It was a fun afternoon of creativity and for many, a first-time learning experience. Congratulations to the contest winners for their clever pumpkin submissions. Thank you to those who came and we hope you picked up on some new carving techniques and enjoyed the pumpkin themed snacks!

Taiwanese American Community Happenings
Taiwanese artist, 9m88, is coming to San Francisco for a show on Tuesday, 11/29! She just finished touring with Sunset Rollercoaster in Europe and this will be her first solo show in SF.

Give her socials a follow below, and register to attend her concert at the end of the month!

Artist bio:
9m88 (aka Baba) is a R&B singer-songwriter based in Taipei. Studying under the legendary double bass player Reggie Workman and alto saxophonist Jane Ira Bloom from The New School in NYC, 9m88's music genre is heavily jazz-influenced but well-blended with R&B, Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop and Pop music. Her soulful voice and her lyrics often emphasize both the female sensibility and rationality, and she is adept in fusing styles into poetic songs. In 2019, 9m88 independently released her debut album <Beyond Mediocrity>, and won herself "Best New Artist" at Golden Indie Music Award.
