Needham Youth & Family Services Seeking Nominations for Forde Good Person Award

Needham Youth & Family Services is now accepting nominations for the 2023 Patrick and Patricia Forde Good Person Memorial Award. The Forde Award is designed to recognize a Needham adult who helps make the community a better place to live through their volunteer work. The recipient will be a person of high character, a person who has contributed in some significant way to Needham children, youth, and/or families, and a person who has enhanced the lives of those with whom they've interacted. This award recognizes that through volunteerism and caring, each person in our community has the ability to enhance Needham. Youth & Family is accepting nominations submitted from individuals, local businesses, schools, religious or civic organizations until December 10th with an award ceremony for the winner in January. The Select Board seeks five residents with an interest in the subject matter to join the Juneteenth Celebration Planning Committee, and an additional member of the community to serve on the Active Recreation Asset Working Group.
