Green Business Supports

Green for Micro

According to a recent PwC Consumer Pulse Survey, 72% of Irish consumers are willing to pay more for products that are recycled, sustainable or eco-friendly. The majority (65%) of Irish consumers will also pay more for products with a traceable or transparent origin and nearly half (45%) are willing to pay more for locally produced products to reduce their carbon footprint.

With a big shift in consumer buying habits, it is vital for businesses to pay attention to their environmental impacts. The Green for Micro offering from the Local Enterprise Office gives local businesses the opportunity to take the first step in being more sustainable. Get two free days of mentoring with a specialist Green Consultant (worth €1,800) – this this will include recommendations on specific changes which your business can implement.

Developing a ‘greener’ policy can offer many benefits to your business, including:

  • Increased cost savings
  • Improved resource efficiency (e.g. using less energy, water & materials)
  • Opportunities for higher and additional value on products/services
  • Reduced environmental footprint and greenhouse gas emissions
  • Increased access to customers, improved corporate image and reputation.
