With colder weather settling in, our HOPE Center only gets busier. We're lucky to be able to provide respite to our clients especially during these colder months. Our community has certainly stepped up, helping to provide supplies, food, and their time during a time that can be especially difficult for people experiencing homelessness.
We are always looking for more volunteers for our HOPE Center and PADS sites. If you are interested in volunteering, especially in the evening and early morning hours to help provide shelter to those in need, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Anna Malhotra at a.malhotra@journeystheroadhome.org or 847-963-9163 x 121.
We are soon moving into our new facility! Because of our move, we have limited capacity in our Food Pantry and Clothing Closet. We are still gratefully accepting donations of food and clothing, however, if you or your organization is interested in organizing a drive benefiting JOURNEYS' clients, please get in touch with us to arrange the details. This will allow us to maximize our available space while still providing for our clients' needs. You can reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator Anna for more information.
In other news, we have our Bid for HOPE Gala coming up at the end of this week! We're counting down to the biggest fundraising event of the year, and anticipate a great turnout! If you are unable to attend on Friday, but would still like to support the event, you can donate to our Fund-A-Cause campaign.

Our PADS season is now in full swing, and JOURNEYS is in need of compassionate volunteers to help with our PADS Shelter Program and HOPE Center, among many other opportunities!
PADS volunteers work in shifts throughout the night to help ensure that our clients have a positive, welcoming experience at our PADS shelter sites.

The interior and exterior of our new building are coming along nicely! We recently had an opportunity to tour the inside of the building, and it really felt like coming home! The PADS shelter site on the second floor, pictured above, is beginning to feel like a reality. We're excited to be able to provide more resources to our clients and to able to serve our community more effectively!

To increase the capacity to accommodate the growing demand for emergency and ongoing assistance throughout the region. The Building for HOPE capital campaign will construct a year-round, 24-hour, comprehensive two-story facility that will enable all clients, especially those with unique needs and challenges, to streamline their journey to stability by receiving on-site critical
supportive services, shelter, and permanent housing.
