Faith Group Research: Open Event 

Community Action: MK would like to invite you to an open event where we will be  sharing the findings from our recent Faith Group Research project, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support. 

The occasion will be the perfect chance to learn about findings relating to Health Inequalities in Milton Keynes, network with other groups in the local area and meet Macmillan representatives.

When: 24th November 2022, 9:30 - 12:30

Whitehouse Surgery Drop-In

This Thursday morning we’ll be joined by GamCare at Whitehouse Surgery, the leading national provider of free information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling related harm.

Come and find out more about the support they offer and local volunteering opportunities. No need to book.

BLMK Voluntary Sector Alliance 

The newly created MK Voluntary Alliance Steering Group are looking for new members! The newly created group will focus on sharing key content across MK.

SaferMK Partnership Meeting
 
The next SaferMK Partnership meeting is on the 9th November. Come along to the virtual 'meet the reps' session on Monday 7th November at 11am to discuss key agenda items and have your say so that VCSE representatives can share your views. Redesigning the local Musculoskeletal (MSK) service:
NHS Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board (ICB) are inviting residents who have been treated for pain in their bones, joints or muscles in the last 5 years to join a focus group.

Supporting the Crisis in Ukraine | Supporting Refugees in Milton Keynes

We are continuing to support the local VCSE groups and organisations in Milton Keynes who are involved in assisting those arriving in the region from Ukraine. If you would like to be involved in the Coordinated Response, please email support@communityactionmk.org.

The impact of lockdown restrictions on levels of crime is one of the lesser told stories of the coronavirus pandemic.
With large parts of the population asked to stay in their homes, so-called traditional crimes such as burglary and robbery decreased.

Harry's Rainbow 
Harry's Rainbow are looking for a group coordinator for our Rainbow Groups. This is a self-employed role to support the charity requiring someone who is organised, a good communicator and able to manage the running of a group. You would need to collect the resources for the group, get them there, oversee the volunteers and ensure they are comfortable with their roles, chat with the families and then lead a quick debrief at the end of the group.
