At the end of August, a group of military medical officials from Buckley Space Force Base visited the Anschutz Internal Medicine Clinic. The Buckley team runs a primary care clinic and toured our clinic with the goal of learning some of our processes. Dr. Ingrid Lobo and Practice Administrator Carrie Baker provided the tour and shared information about our operations including how we empanel patients, triage systems, roles of nurses and medical assistants, the rooming process, and population health. The tour went well and the team may be coming back to shadow and spend more time with our clinic.

We are about to complete the first month of the Bozarth Primary Care Initiative (formerly known as Asynchronous Work) pilots. So far, we have conducted a baseline survey with an incredible 78% response rate, developed a communication pathway for our clinic operations partners, did some troubleshooting on template management, and continued to test the evaluation plan. Thanks again to everyone participating in and contributing to these pilots. This is an important next step to addressing the growing asynchronous work demands and supporting clinician well-being.
