Election Day is around the corner 


The Fall semester is going by fast. This is a reminder to all students of voting age that Election Day is next Tuesday, Nov. 8. For more information on voting or to view sample ballots, visit vote.org and geauxvote.com.

Students are reminded to schedule their academic advising appointments for spring classes before Priority Registration starts on Monday, Nov. 7. Also, daylight saving time will end at 2 a.m local time on Sunday, Nov. 6. People in states that observe it will move their clocks back one hour. 

Events this week on campus are: 
Tuesday-Thursday 11/1-11/3:
Sigma Tau Delta Book Sale in Fayard Hall 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Wednesday 11/2: Social Justice Speaker Derecka Purnell speaks in Pottle Auditorium at 2 p.m.
Wednesday 11/2: Culture Shock talent showcase Student Union Ballroom 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday 11/2: Alpha Sigma Tau Waffle Night and raffle at AST House 6-8 p.m.
Saturday 11/5The Louisiana Renaissance Fest begins at 9:45 a.m.
Saturday 11/5: Volleyball vs. Texas A&M-Commerce at 1 p.m. in the University Center
