The NSW Department of Primary Industries invites you to share your views on the future of sheep and goat livestock traceability in New South Wales with the NSW Industry Reference Group at a series of consultation webinars.
Effective livestock traceability is essential to protect the biosecurity of our thriving livestock industries and our premium quality brands, and to ensure we restore access to international markets as soon as possible in the event of an emergency animal disease.
This webinar is part of a series of targeted online consultation sessions with key industry sectors that will help inform the initial development of an implementation plan for sheep and goat individual electronic identification within New South Wales.
Going to a stock sale or calling in on your neighbour and having no time to change your work clothes or boots? Have you thought about how clean your boots are when entering other farms and what you might be carrying on them? Keep a clean pair of boots in your vehicle!
Pathogens such as bacteria and viruses can easily transmit from property to property on muddy boots and vehicles. Simple hygiene (soap, scrubbing brush and plenty of water) can significantly reduce the risk of spreading disease between farms.
Come clean, go clean!
