URBAN WILDLIFE GARDENS NEWSLETTER

October 2022

Dear <<First Name>>,

Welcome to the UWG October newsletter.  Summer has started early in Noosa Shire, storms and high temperatures have come a month early, and the mosquitos are out with a vengeance. To keep numbers down, check for breeding spots around your property and change water weekly in bird baths. Due to the high temperatures, new plantings could do with some extra watering if it doesn't rain for a day or two.

Our next workshop," How to find useful information on the Internet" is in the final planning stages for November. Keep an eye out for a separate email with the details. Also save the date for our "Find a Frog in February" workshop which will be held on the 1st of Feb 2023.

If you're looking for something to do on Sat 6th or Sat 13th of November, there is a Noosa Tree Planting Event on. These tree planting mornings are part of a research project looking at wellbeing and environmental activities. Morning tea is provided, and transport can be arranged. This time the events will be in Cooran. Contact Annie Nolan, 0413 403 455, anne.nolan@cqumail.com

Ideas for newsletter articles are always welcome.
