Hello friends!  First let me remind you all that Daylights Savings Time will be taking place this Sunday, and while no one really "sets their clocks back" anymore, I think it is worth noting that you will *hopefully* get a little extra sleep Saturday night. For those of you with small children who will definitely not sleep an extra hour, we will order extra coffee and offer a support group meeting up by the Connection table when you arrive!

Now, I wish I had a fun joke to share that would transition me to combine some of the major elements coming up this Sunday:

This week's Journal prompt:
When have important plans you've had been interrupted and how did you respond?
Nancy Miller's Deacon post is called "Hope Cares." Part of that ministry is encouraging others to journal. Each week in the newsletter we will have a new prompt. Click here to get more information about journaling.
** Journals will be on the connections table each week if you would like to pick one up!
Sunday Message: Our message this week focused on Jesus’ first parable of the soils in Mark 4. Nate discussed Jesus' desire to clarify the kingdom of God while using the illustration of planting seeds and the impact of the surrounding soil on their growth. A sprout represents the coming kingdom of God, listen and be encouraged!
Hope Nursery: This Fall Hope Nursery Kids (walkers-age 5) are learning to be young worshippers. Each week the kids are learning about an important part of Sunday worship. This group meets during the entirety of the service each week. For more information, contact Maggie@hopeforwilmington.com.
Hope Elementary: This group is for kindergarten- 5th graders, and the lessons for this age group will be offered every week. Students will start out with their families in worship, and they are released to join their group during the announcements. This is a great time for this age group to learn to become young worshippers. For more information, contact Shay@hopeforwilmington.com.

Meet New Covenant Partners Ian and Colleen Faulkners!

Ian grew up in Lafayette, Indiana & Colleen grew up between San Diego, California & Athens, Georgia. The two met working at a Young Life summer camp in northern Michigan.
Ian works remote for a Chicago-based tech company and Colleen as a school counselor. Together they love to have people over, go for sunset swims at the beach, and explore local eateries. Ian loves all things games (board and athletic) and is trying to become a Pickleballer. Colleen recently stood up on a surfboard and is a frequent flyer at The Loop and the public library.
The Faulkners are excited about Hope because of the authentic and organic feel of the service and the community, combined with the new friends we've met! (Also Nate's beard)
Tithing is an act of generosity and a simple response to God's generosity to us.  Options  for giving: tithe online, send your giving to our post office box, or give checks or cash in the offering plate. Our gifts support the mission of this church in our community and beyond and we are grateful for your generosity.
