Dear Weaver Lake Elementary School Families,

As we approach November, the month of giving, we’d like to thank all of you that have generously given your time and/or money to help Weaver Lake Elementary PTO kick off the 2022/23 school year with a bang! We started the school year with a fundraising budget of $71,350. This budget is planned to cover many things for our scholars including all student field trips, grade level STEM, webinars, classroom equipment, engineering night and art detail.

We had a great turnout at our first Dine 2 Donate fundraiser at Chipotle, bringing in over $1,400!

We had a tremendous show of support for our Color Run in September. Countless hours from many volunteers and the fundraising efforts of all of our great scholars helped bring in more than $48,000!

The Scholastic book fair was very successful due to all of the amazing volunteers! Thanks to all who shopped the book fair! We will be able to share financials for that later this month.

MN celebrates generosity in November with Give to the Max Day, which is November 17th this year. Give to the Max Day was created in 2009. That initial spark touched off an outpouring of generosity -- Since then, Give to the Max Day has become Minnesota’s annual giving holiday, raising more than $250 million for thousands of organizations in its first 13 years.

We are asking for your support in November to help us reach our fundraising budget for 2022/23. To support Weaver Lake Elementary PTO, please consider a direct donation. We also have some information on how you can seek a company matching gift from your employer to make Give to the Max even more successful.

Weaver Lake Elementary PTO is proud to partner with Johnny Boy's Pizza for our November Dine 2 Donate restaurant! Johnny Boy's is a small family owned restaurant by a local Brooklyn Park resident. Since this is a small business, ordering is a bit different than other big national companies. Johnny has agreed to donate 20% of the proceeds to Weaver Lake!

Johnny has asked for us to pay for our orders in the store (cash & credit are both accepted).
Delivery orders will not be included in the fundraiser. Pick up is quick and conveniently located on 85th and West Broadway! Call in your order, swing by to pick it up on your way home!
You also must show the cashier the flyer showing you are supporting Weaver Lake Elementary PTO.

Add a reminder to your calendar

The Weaver Lake PTO will be offering a drive-thru pickup at Weaver Lake Elementary on Friday, November 18th, from 3:00-5:30 pm. It is the seller’s responsibility to deliver all items sold to their friends and family that purchased from them. Pick up will be at the main entrance (front doors) of the school. A volunteer will get your order and place it in your car for you, or you can park and come to get your order.

If possible, we would ask that you pick up your items before 3:40 or after 4:15 pm. The parking lot is very crowded at the end of the school day. Picking up your items either before or after the school dismissal time will allow for better traffic flow. We want to keep our students safe! We appreciate your understanding!

Color Run 2022

Thank you to Lyn Billings for organizing the Weaver Lake Color Run again this year! A huge thank you to all our volunteers who helped make it a remarkable success. Mrs. Christiansen is a fantastic principal; we are lucky to have her lead our school! As a reward to our scholars for successfully reaching the fundraising goal for the color run, Mrs. Christiansen graciously allowed the entire student body to duct tape her to the wall, one student with a piece of tape at a time! The kids had so much fun with this reward!
