Greetings friends of
Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners!

We are excited to share our first newsletter on what’s happening at Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners. God has a preferential love for the oppressed, and we’re constantly amazed how he’s working through Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners.

Here’s what’s happening:

Recently a generous supporter purchased a 23,000 sq. ft. building for our use! We are praising the Lord for this incredible blessing.
Our “Share the Bounty Fundraiser” on October 6 welcomed 210 guests to our building at 5541 King Highway. We shared our vision for feeding malnourished people around the world with the bountiful surplus of vegetables here in Southwest Michigan. Tim Paauw of Sus Manos Gleaners and Pete Wierenga of Niagara Christian Gleaners shared what God has done to feed millions through their gleaners.

Share the Bounty Fundraiser, October 6, 2022

We have received $625,000 in contributions to date.

That’s a fantastic start to our long-range goal of $1.5 million

Our new building on King Highway.
Our Building Renovation Team is planning significant improvements to the 5541 King Highway building. A new roof will be completed soon.

The work before us is extensive, but God is going before us daily. We’re encouraged by your words of affirmation and your contributions. The vision of Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners is compelling and people are joining our mission to feed the hungry and spread the gospel.

Here’s how can you help:

  • Pray that God will provide everything needed to continue moving Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners forward.
  • Help us spread the “Gleaner Gospel”.  Tell your friends how Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners intends to feed malnourished people and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Share our website kalamazoogleaners.org and encourage your friends to sign up for our newsletters.
  • Pray that vendors and contractors will step forward to help renovate to our building.  Contact Jim Van Tuinen at jim@kalamazoogleaners.org if you can help.

  • Prayerfully consider supporting us financially.

Thanks again for your interest in Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners.
Big challenges lie before us, but our God is bigger.

Sincerely,
Jim Van Tuinen
