Welcome to BPW 2022-2023

"Bee The Inspiration"

Hello November!

This is my favorite time of the year. Cooler temperatures and falling leaves meant to me as a kid that my birthday was coming and Halloween and then the Holidays.

BPW week was a success. We had a good turnout at the BOY and WOY Presentation at the Hair of the Dog. The Charcturie Board contest was so much fun. Looking forward to next year's activities. Congratulations to our winners - Howard Jones and Sheree Jones.
November is the beginning of the Holiday season. November is a time to Give Thanks for all the things we have as a club and in our personal lives. This is the time for us to give back to our community. We will be collecting donations for the following: CCBA, One Hope United and Adopt A Family with BCMW.

We will be having an Organizational meeting after the General meeting to set up the Centralia BPW Educational Foundation. This is a great opportunity for our club to get the 501c3. This will increase our reach to get donations for our foundation.

Christmas party will be at Fairway's on December 14 hosted by Public Relations/Social Media committee.

Do not forget to Vote on November 8.

A message from the President

Centralia BPW Education Foundation will have an organizational meeting after our November General meeting. We will have to create by-laws. We will be voting on officers for the foundation. This is really great news for our educational program.

Menu- Turkey, dressing, green beans, sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie. As always, the cost is $15 and includes tea. Soda and other beverages may be purchased at the bar

Program- There will be no program. We will be collecting for the One Hope United, Adopt A Family, and CCBA.

Message from the BPW WEEK Committee
THANK YOU!!!!!

The BPW Week committee would like to thank each and everyone of you who took the time to either
attend, participate, or just cheer us on. We hope you all enjoyed this year’s events. Thank you to all of
you who were able to attend the proclamation at City Hall as this was the largest group present in a
while.
I believe we can say without hesitation that our 2022 WOY and BOY recipients, Sheree Jones and
Howard Jones were very surprised, humbled and without a doubt worthy of the honor. Our First and
possibly annual Charcuterie Board contest was outstanding. We had 7 excellent participants from very
talented individuals. Congratulations to Traci Macz and Mary Jones for their 1 st place entry!! It was
phenomenal and the first time either had put a charcuterie board together.
Lastly, thank you to the committee. This week would not have come off without you pitching in with
your talents!

Yearbooks Now Available:

Stephanie House will have the yearbooks available at the October meeting. If you are unable to attend and still need a yearbook, contact her at auntsteph04@gmail.com to make arrangements. Special shout out to Mel and Ray Ainslie for all their work in putting them together.

VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

Bring in your “I voted” sticker or a picture of your “I voted” sticker on your phone so that your name will be entered into a drawing at the November 9, 2022, meeting for a chance to win a $15 gift card to the Elks. Let’s have 100 percent participation. The only way things are going to change is if we VOTE.

HELPING KIDS AT ONE HOPE
I will be accepting cash donations at the November and December BPW meetings to get Gift Cards for the kids at One Hope for Stocking Stuffers.
This is another example of the love and big hearts our group has for the youth in our community.
