In the Spotlight! New Course Connect feature in A-G CMP
This month's spotlight is a little different, as we focus on an exciting new feature of the A-G Course Management Portal (CMP) called Course Connect. The High School Articulation team implemented Course Connect to make it easier for schools to cross-communicate about other schools’ courses and curriculum. Users can send direct emails to a school to start a conversation with questions. Course Connect will be available in the A-G CMP the week of December 19, 2022. To learn more, watch the video demo below. Let us know what you think!

High School Articulation Audience Survey

We want to hear from you!

High School Articulation wants to learn about innovative teaching and learning at California high schools, particularly in these three areas:

  1. Successes and challenges you’ve experienced in giving your students access to A-G courses. How have you made A-G more equitable in your school or district?

  2. Examples of the ways in which your institution is revising mathematics curricula in response to changing state policies and practices. What new courses or sequences are you offering? What new practices are you implementing in response to the statewide changes?

  3. Stories about the experience and impact of offering an ethnic studies curriculum in your school/district. How was the curriculum developed? How have students responded?

We are interested in hearing about the other innovative work happening on your campuses. Please share it!

Kindly take a few minutes to fill out our new High School Articulation Audience Survey and let us know about your work.

FAQ of the month

I am not my school's list manager, but I have been working on drafting course submissions to prepare for the 2023-24 submission period. I tried to forward the completed drafts to my course list manager, but it's not working. What should I do to make sure my list manager can submit this course?

All registered users of the A-G CMP can draft new course submissions, but only course and reference list managers (and those with customized permissions) may submit courses to UC for review. This means that courses drafted by users without permission to submit will need to forward courses to their institution's list manager so the course can be submitted to UC. As with submitting courses, forwarding courses is only available during the annual course submission period, and not when the A-G CMP is closed to submissions. You will need to wait until the A-G CMP is open to course submissions to forward courses to your list manager. They will then be able to submit the course to UC for review.
