Good Morning

Short VTA Recap—- (And this will hardly scratch the surface of how enriching this experience was)

The theater department returned from a very successful weekend at the Virginia Theater Association conference. At the conference students have the opportunity to audition for colleges receive scholarships and perform their one act play.

There are numerous design competitions as well as opportunities to network and attend meaningful workshops in the areas of performance as well as technical theater. Our senior technical theater student Conrad Heins received 1st place out of whole conference for their scenic design of HAIRSPRAY the musical.

If that wasn’t enough, 2nd place was awarded for costumer Emerson Norton for their design of costuming for HAIRSPRAY.

The production of the BOOK OF WILL received superior ratings ranking the top 7 out of the 33 schools participating at the conference.

Many thanks to our amazing staff Rod and Kristina Durrer, and Casey Eriksen who spent the weekend with us!

Attention rising Juniors and rising Seniors,

Students interested in an all expense paid summer theatre experience at Radford University are strongly encouraged to self nominate and sign up for pre-screen auditions! They will be held the week of Nov 7 !
