We at Christian Direction have been working for the past year on the Rapha Quebec Project, a study into domestic abuse and the Church in Quebec. We are thrilled to announce that our survey is now open and online. The objectives of the survey are to:

1. Identify the beliefs and attitudes of Québec Christians and churches with regard to domestic abuse.
2. Determine whether domestic violence is a problem currently being experienced within Christian communities and churches in Québec.
3. Understand why victims do or do not disclose their experiences of domestic abuse to other churchgoers or church leaders, and to reveal how the church has responded to such disclosures of domestic abuse.

Who can take the survey? The survey is open to all current or former churchgoing adults (18 yrs+) of all genders who have participated in Christian community in Québec. A respondent does not have to have been a survivor of domestic abuse to participate!

We need your help! We want 1001 people to take this survey. For this to happen we need a broad circulation, and for people to recommend this survey to their networks.

Here are some ideas  of what you can do to support this project:

1. Take the survey. Follow this link: https://www.direction.ca/rapha
2. Pass the link along to your networks.
3. Grab a poster and some project cards from Jenna or Emily and bring them to your churches.
4. Post a link from the Rapha webpage to your social media.
5. Pray for this project.

As we start opening up offices, parishes may be looking to update their computer software. The Diocesan offices order a number of our Microsoft Software and Adobe products from a company called TechSoup Canada that offers great discounts to non-profits. They also sell a limited number of refurbished laptops and Computers.

Here is the link for you. It explains what they are about, who would qualify for their services  and how to sign up with them.

Image showing heat loss (lighter colours) with the temperature scale showing on the bottom of the picture. Fixable problems are often around foundations and doors/windows, but sometimes in the middle of wall, due to damaged insulation.
Do you wonder where your church is losing all its heat? Send an email to sec@montreal.anglican.ca for information on an energy assessment (we hope we can keep it free), including thermal imaging."
Attention parishes! This link  has information on applying for funding from the government for security infrastructure.
