Virtual Public Meeting -
Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan

Monday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom

REGISTRATION & ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Do you live or work in South Central Connecticut? Are you concerned about the potential impact of natural hazards such as flooding, hurricanes, winter storms, and drought? Join regional and local leaders and residents to voice your opinions about how to lessen the impact of major weather events and future climate trends.

The Hazard Mitigation Plan is your community’s tool to prevent damage from natural hazards. Take the opportunity to voice your concerns and share your ideas. The Zoom meeting is interactive! Participants will answer several multiple choice and open-ended poll questions. Plan developers want to know how you recommend your community protect itself from natural hazards.

The purpose of the Hazard Mitigation Plan is to identify all natural hazards affecting the area and identify solutions to reduce vulnerability to future natural hazards, with the goal of keeping communities safe and resilient. The plan is required to be updated every five years.

To submit any written comments ahead of the meeting, or for additional information, please contact Rebecca Andreucci at randreucci@scrcog.org.
