Greetings, Comrades!

Hopefully you survived the spookiness of Trick or Treat, or maybe you took some time to reconnect during Samhain. Regardless, glad to be in your inbox and in your calendars! Let's talk about a few immediate updates: 

Happy Hour, new one-time location! - tomorrow / this Thursday, 5PM

Join your fellow comrades for a backyard party hosted by a chapter member! We'll have a fire ring (or two) for warmth, and you're welcome to bring a drink for yourself and others. A few complementary mix drink options will be available too. Dress cozy, and please bring a COVID-compliant mask for any indoor moments.

Location: Arrive at our usual chapter meeting location (the office for Earthcare and Santa Fe Mutual Aid), then call 505.303.9426 for instructions. 

 

Voter Endorsements

We continue to be big fans of YUCCA NM. Their voter resource guide and endorsements are available on their website.
One chapter member in the last meeting recommended Retake Our Democracy as another valuable voter guide and further collection of resources.  

Reading Group - Saturdays, 10AM-11AM

The Decolonization reading group continues covering pages 144 - 171 of Black Marxism by Cedric J. Robinson on Saturdays. Rather than the outdoor park tables, we'll be meeting at the parking lot at Larragoite Park and the group will be held indoors (but with good air circulation) for this month. Those who haven't done the reading will still get a lot out of these valuable discussions, so don't worry about catching up!

 

Community Swap - November 5th, 1PM-3PM

Santa Fe Mutual Aid is hosting its monthly Community Swap on the first Saturday of the month this coming November 5th.  Please bring your clean and like-new unneeded items in to give to others and to take what will be of use to you.

EARTHCARE and Santa Fe Mutual Aid continue to donate their space for our chapter meetings. If you're available, just show up a few hours before or during the event! You can learn more at www.Mutualista.org. and submit contact info for volunteer or help requests here. 

Chapter Meeting - November 27th, 2PM

New Members Welcome! Our next business meeting will take place Sunday, November 27th at 2pm at Santa Fe Mutual Aid. We will update on recent events and chapter developments, and we want to hear from you about what you think SFDSA can focus on next. We look forward to seeing you there.
