Sales & Use Estimate September 2022
Please click the buttons above to view statewide estimates from the NC Department of Revenue for September 2022 collections and September 2022 sales and use tax estimates. Click the chart below to see NC sales tax distribution trends and figures, updated to include November 2022 distributions.

North Carolina local governments are expected to receive $467 million in sales tax distributions, a 18% increase statewide compared to last year. November 2022 distributions reflect August 2022 sales. The increase in distributions includes $73 million in local sales tax revenue compared to the same month last year.
