11/11 UT Campus Planning Event and Happy Hour
Who: Jim Walker (UT Director of Sustainability), Brent Stringfellow (UT Director of Campus Planning & University Architect), and YOU!
What: Jim and Brent will be speaking on planning in the University setting and what it looks like to plan for the 40 Acres and beyond. Happy Hour networking event to follow!
When: Friday, November 11th, 4:00pm
Where: University of Texas at Austin campus (room TBD)
Why: Come learn, interact, and earn CM credits! Intended learning outcomes include:
- Understand the institutional comprehensive planning process
- Recognize how practitioners balance various stakeholder views within an institution
- Better identify the influence of politics and external forces in the planning process
- Understand how sustainability initiatives are incorporated at an institutional planning level
- Help students and practitioners see the variety of opportunities for planning
