Greetings, UVCB Mates -
A week ago 17 of us had fun playing for the Dartmouth Homecoming Parade. The newly improved band trailer served us well, and the donuts were yummy. Since ‘full house’ for the trailer is about 23 or 24, I can envision a day in the coming season when we’ll need to take reservations for seats on the band wagon!
We’ve had several wonderful rehearsals so far this fall and an important contributing factor has been our recent recruits. The latest of these is Linda Coppock, oboist (and English horn if the occasion calls for it.) She comes to us from the University of Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, an ensemble that includes select community members. Linda recently moved to Montpelier with her husband Jim, an accordionist, to live near their three sons and one grand daughter. Liz and I have enjoyed getting to know her and know you will too. Please make her feel at home in UVCB.

HELP! CHRISTMAS MUSIC BOOKS ARE MISSING!
We have two Christmas concerts coming: on December 7 (1:30 pm at Wheelock Terrace, Hanover) and on December 14 (11:00 am at UpperValley Senior Center, Lebanon). The problem is that the Little Salvation Army Books we’d play from are nowhere to be found. If you know where they are, or know someone who might know, please let me know at rehearsal or at ajreer1969@gmail.com. Thanks!
