Happy November, everyone! This is Celina from The Boston Calendar and we’ve got a killer list of events for you this weekend. And we’re going to need it! This weekend is Daylight Savings, so remember to turn your clocks back an hour on Sunday and prepare for 4:30pm winter sunsets.
WaldoCon Bar Crawl
This delightful bar crawl has Bostonians dress up like Where’s Waldo and hit a series of bars downtown in a red-and-white-striped takeover. There’s nothing quite like a huge group of Waldos drinking beer at Ned Devines. Best of all, the bar crawl raises money for Boston Children’s Hospital so you can have an amazing time for a great social cause.
Taylor Swift fans assemble! Jacques Cabaret queens Ivanna B, Lucy Diamonds, and Zon Legacy Phoenix will perform acts to 13 of the tracks on Taylor’s new ‘Midnights’ album. Hosted by Kandi Dishe and Semi Sweet, the performance is sure to be a night of laughter (and possibly some happy tears). Grab a drink and arrive early, seats are first come, first served for the show!
For 34 years the Boston Jewish Film Festival has been bringing Jewish artists and stories to screens around the city. This year, the hybrid festival will screen 16 films and film events both online and in person at beloved venues like the Coolidge Corner Theatre. Many films are accompanied by a panel discussion with the artists, bringing a new depth to the already moving performances.
