Dear all,

Have you had that experience of not knowing what you don’t know?  I imagine Jesus having that experience…not knowing that Mary could not recognize him, when she mistook him for the gardener (John 20:14-15). Or not knowing that the disciples could not recognize him when they had breakfast on the beach together after his resurrection (John 21:9-14

I had that kind of experience on Sunday. Here Lynne and I have been merrily picking music, trying to follow what has been done before, but really not knowing what the congregation knows. Pro tip - when no one is singing, the Music Director and Priest know they have chosen something very few people know!!!  Lynne and I had been puzzling over this for several weeks, until several of our amazing choir members shared with us their thoughts ever so gently.

On Sunday Carlyn approached me and said she thought she knew why we might be struggling. Eureka!!! Ah ha!!!  Ok!!!!  She pointed out that prior to the Pandemic, you had been worshipping three services, one spoken, and one each with two VERY different styles of music. Now all of a sudden it makes sense!   Lynne and I did not know what we did not know!

What I so appreciate about Epiphany is that we are gentle and gracious with each other when we find out what the other does not know….we simply help the other understand by approaching one another to try and help. Just like Jesus did.

Have you ever wanted to be in a low key fun church choir? NO experience is needed and ALL are welcome!

See you in church on Sunday, singing!

love, Stacey
I took Dazzle out for a short walk and this is what I found as I walked the property.  The glasses of course are going to our lost and found! Won’t you help keep our parish neat and tidy by “policing” the grounds and throwing away trash when you find it? A recycling bag and a garbage can are conveniently located at the corner of the church nearest the street. We have an extraordinary number of people in and out of the building every week, and we want everyone to feel welcome. Thank you!  SG+
Dazzle encounters all sorts of things on her inspection tours....
She likes everyone but drones…and thank goodness Uncle Tony was there to protect her!
