I'll be at Kalapawai Market in Waimānalo on December 3, from 2-4pm, autographing Art and Books and personalizing them to you and your loved ones. Even Kimo will be there!

The featured Painting in Paradise tv episode is the Rodeo Bull episode. We had a great time painting the Waiomina Cowboy Boot in Waimea and decorating Stick Ponies which we raced at the Waimānalo Rodeo.

Art Tip - Paint Your Gift

The Gift of Art
Have you been blessed with a gift? In this season of Thanks and Giving, I'd like to encourage you to create your gifts through art. Wouldn't it be great if you could give at least one of the special people in your life a gift that you made for them? Howabout if you made All your gifts this way?

Some of the most practical gifts that folks will be thrilled to keep and use are: hand-painted clothing like hats and shirts, containers to hold paint brushes, or even a hand-colored notecard with a heart-felt letter written on it.

Painted coconuts make great gifts. They are small and it's easy to find places for folks to display them. Dried coconuts are an amazingly durable surface to paint on and I personally have coconuts that I painted nearly fifty years ago that still look freshly painted today.

Here, artist Lexi paints a mermaid on a coconut at the White Sands hotel.
