"I eventually ended up in Hiland Mountain inside the God-sent TLC. Where my creator could finally get his hands on me and start his potters work molding me into the beautiful woman he created me to be. I learned. I got to grow up the right way. I learned how to love and smile and be loved. Then from there I went into the New Hope House; where I learned how to be completely successful. Where I could fall and be surrounded with great women to help me get back up and brush off my knees and go forward. I learned how to be part of a community and give back where I once took. Thankfully to the TLC, the New Hope House and all the mentors provided through ACM I get to be the woman God has called me to be ... I'm not perfect, but he is perfecting me. I am Cassandra ... a Child of God."
Since 1980, ACM has been working in partnership with the Alaska Department of Corrections. Through our ministries, both inside the prison walls and outside in our Safe Living Homes (with the goal of facilitating the transformational power of God) ACM is helping these men and women to successfully re-integrate into society upon their release from prison.
