Happy Friday!

Don’t let the sunny skies and warm temperatures fool you—the holidays are right around the corner. The MPBHBA is hard at work to make it easy for people to shop and dine locally this season! Read below for opportunities your business can participate in.

Western’s ‘Holiday Road’ Shopping Event is Dec. 3

Did you miss the call to be a part of the Western Ave. holiday event on Sat., Dec. 3, from noon to 5 p.m.? To be included, email nora@mpbhba.org today!

People can shop and get into the holiday spirit on Western Ave. Dec. 3, sipping and snacking along the way. The MPBHBA will have a ‘hop on, hop off’ coach bus with several stops on Western for shoppers to catch a ride.

Retail businesses, bars, and restaurants on Western can be a part of the ‘Holiday Road.’ We encourage bars and restaurants to craft a special holiday drink or hors d’oeuvre.

Businesses that plan something special, like carolers or kids’ crafts, will likely generate even more interest.

Also on Dec. 3 is the Beverly Area Arts Alliance Uprising Holiday Market at the Beverly Arts Center, which will draw even more traffic. It should be a fruitful day for Western Avenue businesses!

In addition to providing bus service along Western for this holiday event, the MPBHBA will:
  • publish an online map of participating businesses.
  • create a shopping “passport” with a raffle for prizes.
  • advertise the event in the Beverly Review.
  • promote the event on social media.
  • create a digital lookbook highlighting the gift offerings at local businesses.
We hope you will be a part of this event! Email nora@mpbhba.org to sign up today!

Another Free Publicity Opp: MPBHBA Holiday Lookbook

The MPBHBA is creating a digital holiday lookbook that will promote holiday shopping events in the neighborhood and serve as a gift guide, too. All businesses in the neighborhood will be included. You can feature your business as a whole, or focus on particular items that you're excited about this holiday season. The lookbook will be highly visual, with the option to link to your products, website, or social media.

Examples:
  • A restaurant may want to feature photos of recent catering spreads, holiday specific food options, or a popular food item, or use the lookbook to promote gift cards
  • A bar may want to feature the space as a whole, or a specific drink that will be available throughout the holiday season
  • A retail business may want to photograph a display (holiday or otherwise) that's set up in their store, with multiple items pictured, or showcase products individually

What's needed from a participating business:
  • Photos of your featured display or item(s), as high quality as possible, with as much light as possible
  • Description of items or feature, and/or description of your business as a whole
  • Send to nora@mpbhba.org
  • DUE: NOVEMBER 9th

If you are struggling to take photos of what you would like to feature, please email Nora ASAP.
