“Waiting for Jesus’ Return” (Part 1)
Chris Goldman - Lead Pastor

What the Early Church Believed

The church has been waiting for the 2nd coming of Christ for almost 2,000 years. The Apostle Peter echoed Psalm 90:4 when he wrote the famous words, "But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” (2 Peter 3:8, NIV).

God’s people are taught to be ready from the earliest call to discipleship. Be ready when to give an answer for our faith. Be ready to go when God calls. And be ready when Jesus comes.

Be Ready to Read

This Sunday will be our last chance for a while to invite you to read God’s Word publicly from your daily devotions. Remember, we want to hear verses reflecting our series’ emphasis:

  • Words to live by
  • Actions to take
  • Inspiration to lean on
  • Transformation I desire

See you Sunday!

Harvest Sunday - November 13th
Our goal is to raise $10,000 for 2023 benevolent needs.

Bring your Holiday Feast from Friends Bags November 13.
Bags should be placed in the middle of the Worship Center.
Come prepared to make a special offering in addition to your regular offerings.

In 2019, NW gave close to $50,000 for benevolence. That amazing offering has left us with a healthy benevolent balance today, so we are asking for a more modest gift this year of $10,000. The elders would ask all members to make a concerted effort to also give toward the General Ministry Fund and/or the Building Fund as we close out the year.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated and makes a difference.
