Coooooeeeee.

So.

As some of you will be aware, over a year ago now, I made a variety of physical recordings (LPs, CDs, Tapes) available to pre order. The idea was that I would finish writing and then record a new show (Shenanigan) and put that show on the aforementioned physical formats, along with three old shows (I chose shows that would fit on a double vinyl album and a lot of my shows are, I think we can all agree, too long*).

Anyway, I genuinely expected the process to take two months and then maybe another month or so posting out the finished things.

The process** proved to be more time consuming than I’d anticipated. I wanted to do every bit of it but that meant learning how to do every bit of it. And then doing every bit of it. Obviously. Also, there were also manufacturing delays due to the Global Vinyl Shortage™. So by the time I got the stock***, I was trying to write and tour a new show around various outdoor venues and then write a ghost story for the Globe, which delayed the postage stage even further. All of which basically means, that today (fourteen months later) I have just posted out the final item. I imagine there’ll be a few ongoing postal issues**** to deal with but that’s it basically done.

I should think some of you reading this will be thinking “Done is it? Lovely - Where’s my Chuffing Gear then you Godless Pig” to which i would say - “Steady on” and i’d follow that up with - “Do please, Email me if you’re yet to receive your order, although bear in mind that “Rest of the World” postage can take up to 12 weeks and i only finished today.”

Now, for some reason, when records are pressed, there is a tolerance built into the agreement (generally plus or minus 5 percent of the amount ordered) so whilst I ended up three copies short of Shenanigan (in spite of ordering 30 more than I needed, actually). I’ve now got something like two hundred pressings of the other three records, along with a few copies of Shenanigan on Tape and CD piled up in the corner that i’d quite like to get rid of.

So I’m telling you all of this, not to brag about my incompetence but for two reasons.

(1) - To thank everyone who pre-ordered something, i genuinely wouldn’t have been able to do this without your faith and money and i very very much appreciate your patience.

(2) - To announce that the shop on the website is open again with the excess stock in it and you can order now by clicking on the link below or going to the website.

Please note: Shenanigan on Vinyl is sold out and the other two formats of Shenanigan have very few copies available. You will be able to join a waiting list for those items and if/when a sufficient number of people express an interest then I may well get some more made because I am very satisfied with how it came out.

But then again, I might not get any more made, because I might be too busy with other things***** and have decided my days of running a shop are done.

Also note: The cassette and CD versions are both more expensive than they initially were because they ended up being Double Cassette and Double CD because the show ended up being too long.******

Here’s the link – SHOP

And that, I think, will do, Pig.

GOODBYE FOREVER.
