2022 Angel Tree Project
Benefitting children at Iglesia Santa Cruz
Begins Sunday, November 6
What it is: The Angel Tree Project provides Christmas gifts to children at Iglesia Santa Cruz through targeted gift giving. Many conference churches and local area agencies join in providing gifts to the nearly 700 children at our sister congregation.
How it works: Mt. Carmel receives the names and Christmas wish lists of 40 children at Iglesia Santa Cruz. Members and friends of Mt. Carmel choose a name (or more than one) from the 'Angel Tree' and purchase items from the wish list. Gifts are returned to Mt. Carmel and delivered to our sister church in Santa Maria in time for Santa to give each child their gifts. Instructions for wrapping and tagging the gifts are provided with the names.
Cookie Jar mixes go on sale November 6. Place your orders after church. Orders will be available for pick up on November 20.

UPDATE - OCTOBER 18, 2022
Thanks to your generous contributions to our "Cover the Roof" fundraising project we are 75% of the way to our goal of $40,000. Gifts of all amounts are appreciated and help us get to the finish line. One way to raise the remaining $10,000 is if 10 families donate $1,000 each, or 20 families donate $500 each.
At the June 2022 Annual Meeting, our congregation approved a commitment to raise $40,000 in addition to the proposed budget to complete necessary repairs and improvements to our roofing, landscape, and drainage issues. “Cover The Roof” has been adopted as the fundraiser slogan and is ready to begin.
To contribute by check, make a note of “Facility Repairs” on the memo line. If you make your contributions by credit card or by E-checks let the Financial Secretary, Carol Grosse, cgrosse@charter.net know that your donation is for the fund raising project.
