Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics Completion Form - Dec 22 Grads
Due Nov 15
- Students who will be completing the CBA requirements and graduating Dec 2022 should complete the CBA completion form by Monday Nov 15.
- Students may submit a completion form even if they hadn't submitted the CBA Statement of Intent form. Students who complete the certificate will have this noted on their transcript and will receive an electronic certificate signed by Dean Harrison and Assistant Dean Jamie Breen.

Berkeley Haas Alumni Mentor Program - Student applications are open!
- The EWMBAA and Alumni Relations office are excited to roll out the second annual EWMBA alumni-student mentor program.
- The goal of this program is to increase connections within our Haas community and provide current students and alumni more opportunities to engage with and learn from each other.

Underhill Lot Advisory: Upcoming Cal Men's Basketball Games
Nov 21 & 30
- Cal Basketball season has started! If you normally park in Underhill, NW MBA Semester Permits will only be valid on Underhill Levels 3 & 4 on game days. Most games are generally in the evening (6 or 7PM).
- The area immediately around Haas is not affected, please expect traffic along Bancroft Ave to Downtown Berkeley on game days.

- Spring 2023 tuition and fees will be calculated based on enrollment as of bidding and adjust if you make changes during Add/Drop. For your reference, Spring 2023 tuition will be due mid Jan 2023.

- The testing window will be Tuesday Nov 29 at 12 noon PT until Sunday Dec 4 at 11:59PM PT.
- Review the Waiver Exam Guidelines > Spring for details.
- Automatic waivers are available for 202 Financial Reporting and 203 Intro to Finance. Submit documentation to Hannah Fischer by Dec 4 at 11:59PM PT.
Spring 2023 Core Schedule Posted
- The Spring 2023 Core Schedule is now available.
- Blue & Gold, please note the Combined Cohort dates for EW202 Financial Reporting and EW203 Introduction to Finance. To account for various holidays in the Spring, both of your cohorts will meet together (in rooms to be announced closer to the Combined Cohort dates).

Commencement 2023
- Historically, the MBA Commencement ceremony will be during the week following the main University commencement (somewhere between May 15-May 21). It normally does not push into Memorial Day weekend.
- The University has shifted its timeline for determining Commencement Ceremony dates.
- Departments have submitted requests and we expect to be notified in Jan 2023.
- Dates always subject to change pending University decisions.

Big Ideas Contest
What do they offer?
Big Ideas is an innovation ecosystem that provides training, networks, recognition and funding to interdisciplinary teams of UC Berkeley students who have transformative solutions to real-world problems. The Big Ideas Contest is a year-long program that awards up to $30,000 in cash prizes to selected teams along with mentorship and training.
Whom does it benefit?
UC Berkeley students who have an early-stage project with a clear social impact. The project should be centered around an innovation (technologies, services, programs) that produces a clear benefit with the potential for sustained improvement in the lives of groups or individuals.

Planning Ahead for Spring 2023 fees
How to Calculate the Spring 2023 Fees
- The all inclusive per unit fee for 2022-2023 is $3600. Multiply that by the number of units you will be taking.
- Spring 2023 tuition will be due in Jan. Enrollment in the Fee Payment Plan is per semester, not per year. Students must enroll in the plan again for Spring 2023.
Setting up your Direct Deposit Account
- A Direct Deposit Electronic Funds Transfer Account is the easiest way to get refunds or other payments.
- Go to CalCentral > My Finances > Financial Resources > Billing & Payments > Direct Deposit. Complete the steps to set up your account.

Reminder: Fall 2022 Official Grade Letters
- Official grade letters for the Fall 2022 semester will be available on a rolling basis after Monday Nov 14. The final deadline for professors to submit grades is Wednesday Dec 21.
- Please review your employers documentation requirements carefully. If your employer's year end deadline for reimbursement is before Dec 22 but your grades have not posted to CalCentral, unofficial grade letters stating you "received a grade of B- or better" can be requested via the EWMBA Letter Request Form.
- Per University guidelines, students may not ask for specific letter grades, only "confirmation that you will pass the course with B or better."
