OCTOBER 28 | WEST VILLAGE DISTRICT

 
Celebrate the launch of the West Village District during our Fourth Friday celebration this FridayOctober 28. This month's party will start an hour early at 5pm and end at 8pm. The event will include a district block party featuring market vendors, live music, and newly released West Village District giveaways.

Lee Ave. will be closed between Main Street and Sheridan Ave. for a night market and live music, there will be live screen printing from Mckenzie & Co. T-Shirts, street performers, and artists scattered throughout the district. All are encouraged to participate in the West Village District Welcome Walk to enter for a chance to win a 2-night stay at the 21c Museum Hotel plus gift cards and giveaways from businesses around the district. Additionally, several district businesses are releasing new menu and product items inspired by the West Village District, including a new Imperial Stout from Core4 Brewing, a macaron from Cafe Disco, a Candy Corn Cider from OK Cider Co, and a West Village candle from The Social Club.

GHOST TOURS AT UNION STATION
OCTOBER 28 | SCISSORTAIL PARK

 
This Friday, October 28 is your final opportunity to go back in time with the Scissortail Park and hear the history of Oklahoma City’s Union Station during Union Station Ghost Tours, complete with mysterious stories and legends from the past, as well as more recent unexplained and ghostly encounters.
Union Station opened in 1931 and served Rock Island and Frisco lines until 1967. The station was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, and is now home to the Scissortail Park offices. The station is not generally open to the public, so enjoy this once-a-year opportunity while it lasts. Reservations are required for admission to each 45 minute tour. HALLOWEEN WITH FACTORY OBSCURA

Join Factory Obscura on Friday, October 28 at 7:30pm as they ring in Halloween with a night full of spooky festivities with live music from Blue Morrison & Em and the Mother Superiors. Then, stick around for a dance party with Rení.

ROARING 20'S HALLOWEEN BASH

The First National Center presents the Roaring 20's Halloween Bash this Saturday, October 29 at 5pm. Join Tellers for a 4-course prix-fixe dinner party with prohibition-style cocktails, flappers and live jazz in the Great Hall, and dance the night away in The Vault, the underground speakeasy.

ENCHANTED STORYBOOK TRAIL

Visit Scissortail Park on Saturday, October 29 from 11am-6pm for the annual Enchanted Treat Trail. Guests can enter the Treat Trail in front of Union Station and follow the path to candy stations, face painting, cookie decorating, and much more.
Admission includes access to the Treat Trail, all special activities, and roller skating at the Sky Rink. Admission is $10 for the first trick-or-treater, then $5 for each additional participant. Tickets can be purchased on-site with cash or card. BBQ TAILGATING 101 AFTERPARTY
OCTOBER 29 | BRICKTOWN BALLPARK


After-party tickets are available for the Tailgating 101 event at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark this Saturday, October 29 from 4-7pm, following the Tailgating 101 class by World Champion pitmaster Travis Clark from Clark Crew BBQ.

The after-party will include Clark Crew BBQ and other appetizers, a full bar, a silent auction of unique sports and entertainment items, and televised college football. All proceeds from the event will benefit the OKC Dodgers Baseball Foundation's efforts to provide Dodger Rookie League baseball and softball participation opportunities to underrepresented Oklahoma City youth groups. Join Supermercados Morelos at Scissortail Park on Sunday, October 30 from 12-8pm for OKC's Festival De Vida Y Muerte - Day of the Dead Celebration, a free and family-friendly event packed full of entertainment, live music, dancing, and much more! 
The event kicks off at the Love's Travel Stops Stage with sponsor announcements, followed by authentic food and a cultural market packed with local vendors. Watch as the Oklahoma City Philharmonic joins orchestras across the country in celebrating the 90th birthday of the legendary composer John Williams at the Civic Center Musical Hall on November 4 and 5.

Save the date and kick off the holiday season at this year’s Oklahoma City Tree Lighting Festival on Thursday, November 17 from 5-7pm on the Mickey Mantle Plaza of the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The festival, which is free and open to everyone, will include family-friendly activities such as photos with Santa Claus, face painting, caricatures, a Magic Elf, and more. The main attraction of the evening will be a showcase of diverse holiday performances leading up to and following the countdown to the lighting of the Christmas tree by Mayor David Holt. Following the festival, gather with your friends and family on Friday, November 25 to watch the debut of the Oklahoma City Tree Lighting Virtual Holiday Special presented by Heartland to see the excitement of the tree lighting along with special program-only performances and guests.
